Parish Priest’s Message – First Friday – 5 (English)

The Fifth Gift of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

His Rest

From the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
flows the gift of true rest.
Not rest of the body alone,
but rest for the weary soul (Matthew 11:28).

He calls to those who labour,
to hearts burdened with sorrow.
“Come to me,” He whispers,
“For I am gentle and humble in heart” (Matthew 11:29).

The world gives toil and unrest,
its peace fades like the morning mist.
But in Him, there is a refuge,
a shelter that never fails (Psalm 62:1).

His rest is not escape,
but a presence that stills the storm.
A peace that dwells within,
not bound by time or place (John 14:27).

He carries our burdens,
bearing them upon His heart.
He walks with us in our trials,
never leaving us alone (Hebrews 13:5).

In His rest, we are made whole,
renewed in love, strengthened in faith.
May we rest in Him always,
and find our home in His heart.
